6:06 by Tekla Taidelli wins award at Venice Film Festival's Giornate degli Autori

6:06, directed by Italian filmmaker Tekla Taidelli, won an award at the Giornate degli Autori section of the Venice Film Festival, where it had its world premiere.

The film is a co-production between FILMESDAMENTE, TRANKY FILM and ARGO FILM. Filming took place primarily in Portugal, with the Algarve playing a prominent role — its landscapes leaving a strong mark throughout the narrative.

6:06 follows Leo, a young man trapped in a vicious cycle of addiction and a time loop, in a story that is both deeply intimate and universally recognisable.

The SIAE AL TALENTO CREATIVO, awarded at the Giornate degli Autori — the Venice Film Festival's parallel section dedicated to independent voices — recognises both the director's work and FILMESDAMENTE's commitment to auteur cinema with a broad audience in mind.
