"Aquilino Ribeiro, a Casa e o Sopro de Deus”: Documentary Supported by RTP

The new feature-length documentary directed by João Pedro Marnoto, co-produced by FILMESDAMENTE and MediaUtopia, co-written with Miguel Granja and supported by RTP, is in the final stages of post-production.

Based on the restoration works of Casa Grande de Romarigães and the famous literary work by Aquilino Ribeiro, the film draws a parallel between the history of a family in the Alto Minho region and the evolution of humanity itself. Blending reality and symbolic resonance, the narrative explores how the daily life of this Minho microcosm mirrors the creation of the world, connecting Aquilino's vision and the Genesis narrative in a poetic interpretation of the origins and cycles of existence.
